Alchemy Indoor Skatepark
Tacoma, Washington, US
Terrain & Features
A 2,000-square-foot nonprofit indoor wood and Skatelite ramp facility in downtown Tacoma offering all-ages Saturday Beginner Hours with an instructor, whole-park private rentals, and free loaner pads.
Operated by the nonprofit Alchemy Skateboarding in downtown Tacoma, Alchemy Indoor Skatepark is a compact 2,000-square-foot dry haven filled with small modular wooden ramps resurfaced in smooth Skatelite. While much of the organization’s weekday programming focuses on youth mentorship, the facility is uniquely accommodating for older skaters returning to the board: it runs dedicated Saturday Beginner Hours open to skaters of any age who want instructor support or simply prefer a slower-paced session, and it lets anyone rent the entire skatepark privately for a flat $20 per hour on weekdays and weekends before 3:00pm.
Start on the low modular banks, mellow quarter-pipes, and movable street features, which can be adjusted to match your comfort level. Private one-on-one lessons are also available and include private use of the floor alongside a trained coach. Sanitized loaner boards, helmets, and pads are free for all participants to borrow, and bikes and scooters are strictly prohibited. Because the 2,000-square-foot floor only has room for one to three riders to take active lines at a time, check the online booking calendar before heading over for weekday walk-in hours, and be ready to sign a liability waiver on your first visit.
