Bath Skatepark (Midcoast Youth Center)
Bath, Maine, US
Terrain & Features
Maine's largest indoor wood skatepark, offering over 6,000 square feet of timber ramps and street features with quiet weekday morning and early-afternoon sessions (10am–2pm) during school hours, board/helmet rentals, and private beginner lessons.
Operated by the nonprofit Midcoast Youth Center at 4 Old Brunswick Road, Bath Skatepark is the largest indoor skatepark in Maine, housing more than 6,000 square feet of wooden ramps, quarter-pipes, ledges, flat bars, and boxes inside a climate-controlled warehouse. For older skaters in Midcoast and southern Maine, the timber surfaces offer lower-impact landings than cold outdoor concrete and keep sessions going through months of snow and rain.
Because regular operating hours open at 10:00am Monday through Friday (until 6:00pm, and 10:00am–5:00pm on Saturdays), weekday mornings and early afternoons before school lets out at 2:00pm offer a calm, uncrowded window for returning riders. One-hour private skateboarding lessons ($25) can also be booked in advance for one-on-one confidence building, and helmet and skateboard rentals ($4–$5) are available at the front desk. Note that the park is closed on Sundays, Saturday mornings from 10:00am to 12:00pm are reserved for a “Half Pints” session limited to children ages 5–10, any special sessions held after 6:00pm require riders to be 16+ (or accompanied by a parent/guardian), and general sessions are shared with scooters, inline skates, and BMX bikes.
