An 18,000-square-foot poured-concrete municipal skatepark at the 65-acre Raleigh Springs Civic Center in North Memphis, offering 6am daily openings, overhead evening lighting, and a broad street section separated from its deep bowl.

Anchoring the 65-acre Raleigh Springs Civic Center on the former Raleigh Springs Mall site—alongside a scenic walking-trail pond, a public library branch, and a municipal police precinct—this roughly 18,000-square-foot poured-concrete facility is Memphis’s premier lit outdoor public skatepark. Unlike unlit daytime-only spots across the metro, Raleigh Springs provides overhead lighting for evening sessions as well as a 6:00am daily opening that gives older skaters a calm, cool morning window before Mid-South humidity peaks.

The layout separates its street and transition zones so returning riders can progress at their own pace without crossing high-speed bowl lines. Start on the open flatground, low manual pads, flat bars, mellow banks, and street ledges before working toward the stair sets, handrails, and the deep concrete bowl and transition pocket. Because the park is a free, unsupervised municipal facility, keep Memphis Parks rules in mind: full protective gear (helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads) is recommended for older skaters and strictly mandatory for children under 12—who must also be accompanied by a supervising guardian—meaning after-school and weekend family traffic can build quickly. For climate-controlled indoor wood ramps, structured lessons, or fresh hardgoods and protective gear, pair a North Memphis concrete session with Society Memphis and its on-site Society Memphis Shop on Scott Street.
