Rogers Family Skate Plaza
Apex, North Carolina, US
Terrain & Features
Four-tiered 13,000 sq ft concrete street plaza by Team Pain in the Raleigh metro area, featuring tiered flat ledges and gentle banks isolated from a multi-level bowl, open 24 hours with floodlights.
Constructed by Team Pain within Hunter Street Park, the Rogers Family Skate Plaza offers a four-tiered concrete design tailored to simulate street lines while maintaining clean line-of-sight separation. Lower tiers are dedicated to wide flatground ledges, mini-banks, and curb-height rails, keeping novice and returning skaters out of the trajectory of the higher-speed multi-level bowl.
The plaza remains open around the clock with automated floodlights extending until 9:30pm on weeknights and 11:30pm on Saturdays. An early dawn visit provides peaceful, dew-free concrete before heat and school crowds set in. Town ordinance strictly mandates helmets and protective pads, fostering a safe, respectful environment for older skaters.
