The Bay Skatepark
Lincoln, Nebraska, US
Terrain & Features
A 12,000-square-foot indoor wood skatepark in Lincoln that hosts dedicated Sunday evening sessions exclusively for skaters aged 19 and over, alongside beginner lessons and workshops.
Housed inside a nonprofit community center at 2005 Y Street, The Bay Skatepark spans roughly 12,000 square feet of indoor wooden ramps, transitions, rails, and street obstacles, making it a year-round refuge from Nebraska’s winter freezes and summer heat. While the broader center serves youth education during weekday school hours, the skatepark specifically supports older skaters with a dedicated weekly session every Sunday evening from 5:00pm to 10:00pm restricted to ages 19 and up.
The timber surface is noticeably more forgiving on knees and hips than outdoor concrete, and new or returning riders can start on the smaller wooden banks, funboxes, and mellow transition pockets before working toward the larger quarter-pipes. Structured lessons and workshops are also offered through the facility. Note that the park is closed on Mondays and does not open for public drop-in until 3:00pm on weekdays while Bay High classes are in session; check the online program finder before travelling in case a live music or community event affects evening hours.
