WJ Skatepark + Urban Plaza

Terrain & Features
A 23,000-square-foot Dreamland concrete park sheltered under the I-105 bridge with stadium lighting until 1am, separating a wide street plaza from a flow ribbon and cloverleaf bowl.
Tucked directly beneath the I-105 highway overpass in Washington Jefferson Park, WJ Skatepark + Urban Plaza spans 23,000 square feet of glass-smooth concrete poured by Dreamland Skateparks. Because the overhead highway bridge shields the entire riding surface from Pacific Northwest rain and stadium-grade floodlights keep the park illuminated from 6:00am until 1:00am daily, it is one of the most dependable year-round venues in the region for older skaters fitting sessions before work or late in the evening.
The half-acre layout is split into two distinct zones linked by a long concrete pump ribbon and mini-snake run that lets you roll the length of the block without pushing. Returning riders rebuilding their confidence can start on the wide street runways, gentle banks, manual pads, and low ledges on the plaza side, well clear of the high-speed lines in the deep pool-coped cloverleaf bowl. Keep in mind that while the highway deck blocks direct rain, wind-blown mist can dampen the outer perimeter during heavy winter storms. Helmets are mandatory for riders under 16 (and strongly wise for everyone), BMX riders are restricted to plastic pegs only, and the park draws heavy crowds during major events like the annual Tactics Northwest Jam.
